Objective

 Improve access to reproductive health information and services for female youth.

Achievements

Successful implementation of sexual reproductive health talks, life skills training, and counseling, resulting in increased awareness and access to crucial health services. Members trained in Voluntary Counseling by Liverpool VCT.

Sports and Cultural Program

Objective

Use sports and cultural events as tools for empowerment and dialogue.

Achievements

Pioneers in women’s football in Nyanza since 2003. Hosted the Danish Gymnastics Performance Team twice in Kisumu. Representation in under-20 and senior Harambee Starlets. Utilization of Value-Based Sports for messaging to both young people and adults.

Life Skills and Education

Objective

 Encourage girls to pursue education and career goals.

Achievements

Successful school outreaches and back-to-school sessions for dropouts. Members emerging as leaders and scholars, with female football coaches earning prestigious CAF D and CAF C licenses. Collaboration with various organizations and ministries for education initiatives.

Environmental Conservation

Objective

Promote environmental awareness and conservation efforts.

Achievements

Engaged in environmental conservation initiatives, contributing to a sustainable community. Successful implementation of projects fostering environmental awareness.

Entrepreneurship

Objective

Build capacity for income generation to address poverty.

Achievements

Collaboration with Sports for Social Change Network through CARE International. Members mentored by SLYI heading other organizations, showcasing the success of entrepreneurship initiatives.
