We Are Non Profit Organization

Smart Ladies Youth Initiative (SLYI) is a registered Community-Based Organization (CBO), operating in Kisumu and Migori Counties since 2004. Registered under the Ministry of Social Services (Registration No. 03257), SLYI is committed to empowering girls and young women aged 10–29 through value-based sports and art to promote Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH), life skills, and gender equality.

SLYI collaborates closely with local communities and Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) to deliver strategic, community-driven interventions. These initiatives address pressing issues such as Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and limited access to SRH services. Through sports for social change and creative arts, SLYI nurtures safe spaces where young girls and women can learn, grow, and advocate for their rights.

We Are A Strong Team

We envision a healthy and prosperous society where girls and young women are empowered to take control of their lives. Grounded in values such as teamwork, equality, integrity, non-violence, and compassion, we aim to shape a future where every individual can reach their full potential.

The strength of our team at Smart Ladies Youth Initiative lies in the unity of purpose and diversity of skills. Each member contributes a unique set of talents and perspectives, creating a dynamic synergy that propels our mission forward. Our commitment to teamwork is a cornerstone of our success, enabling us to tackle challenges with resilience and innovation.
